John 15 (Common English Bible https://www.bible.com/bible/37/JHN.15.ceb)

1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vineyard keeper. 2He removes any of my branches that don’t produce fruit, and he trims any branch that produces fruit so that it will produce even more fruit. 3You are already trimmed because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. A branch can’t produce fruit by itself, but must remain in the vine. Likewise, you can’t produce fruit unless you remain in me.  Note: (Jesus is talking to His disciple who he has taught to live in Him and are following his commandments of loving each other) 

Like many of John's Gospels and letters, there are many different layers to His message and the one given to us from Jesus.  Jesus is saying in John 15 that in order for us to become images of Him(Jesus) who is the visible image of the invisible God(John 4 God the father is all Spirit) who is Love(1John).  We must be pruned of(with Grace, and Mercy) everything in our lives that do not produce fruit(love, and disciples) because God is Love.  These areas that are pruned away are not of God, thus cause us to have a false truth.  When we let God take these areas away, what we are left with is only from the Holy Spirit who is total Truth.   

John 16:13

When He comes, however, being the Spirit of truth he will guide you to all truth.  He will not speak on his own but will speak only what he hears.

When we let God prune us of everything that is not Truth (Not of the Holy Spirit)and his nature, what you are left with is the total truth(The Holy Spirit), and what God has wants to reveal to us!  

1 John 1:16

If we say we have fellowship with Him and continue to walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is Light, we have fellowship with one another and He Cleanses us of all unrighteousness.

If God does not take away the areas of our life that are not Truth (Spiritual Darkness), and just leave the Holy Spirit, we will be practicing a lie!


Many different Layers to John's Gospel

1.) Individual - we can apply to our individual life

2.) Church - Can be applied to our Church, business, organization.

3.) Where we live - Can apply to our City, State, Country

John's Gospels always seem to have many different layers and applications because he truly had a personal relationship with our Lord, John was the disciple that Jesus Loved!

Maturing in the Body of Christ!

  The Body of Christ and spiritual maturity! “Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. Prayer for Unity in the Body of Christ! In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and by the name and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We pray for unity in the Body of Christ! Dear Lord your word says as the Body of Christ we are made up of many different parts, and that together we are one body, with you are Lord Jesus Christ as the head!
